National Night Out

It is getting to be that time of year again – time for University Place citizens to turn on outside lights, lock your doors and step outside to join neighbors in the fight against crime. National Night Out is always the first Tuesday of August and it will take place this year on Tuesday, August 1.

Oversized Brush Curbside Pickup Begins

This curbside program takes place from May 1 through May 12, 2017.

Pile limitations: 1 per household no larger than 6’ wide x 6’ long x 6’ high.

Oversized Brush Pickup is available to all residential customers of University Place Refuse Service, Inc. and Lemay/Waste Connections, even those who are not signed up for Yard Waste service.

The pickup day for your area will be the same as your Curbside Recycling or Yard Waste pickup day, during the weeks shown above. Remember, this is a one-day event for each neighborhood.

Two Tacoma authors will give book talks at University Place Pierce County Library in February—one about the photogenic beauty of Seattle and the other about the oddities of Tacoma.

All Community Thanksgiving Dinner

Everyone is invited to attend the community annual Thanksgiving Day Dinner, at no charge, on Nov. 24, at U.P. Primary School cafeteria, located at 2708 Grandview Drive West. Dinner will be served from noon until 2 p.m.
