DUCK DAZE PARADE
If you are interested in participating in the 2014 Duck Daze Parade on Saturday, June 7 download the Entry Application
here and submit it to the Parks & Recreation Office. Pre-Registration is STRONGLY encouraged. Check-in and staging begin at 8 a.m. and the parade begins at 10 a.m. for more information see the entry application or contact the Recreation Office at 253.460.2530.


Bootcamp continues, new classes and sessions are now available!
Classes will be held at Curtis Junior High in the weight room. Be sure to sign up for this popular program. All athletic ability, age and fitness levels are welcome. Take the class at your own pace and surround yourself with others looking for a great way to get healthy.  Each session will run for six weeks, giving you 18 classes!

We are now pleased to tell you that we are offering an unlimited package! Take all offered classes for one low price! Call for more information today!

Youth baseball & softball leagues!
Youth Baseball & Softball Season is just about upon us! Children from Pre-K through 7th grade may join a recreational baseball or softball team! Leagues will focus on teamwork, sportsmanship, basic fundamental instruction and most importantly, having fun! We offer Coed T-Ball for Pre-K (4-5years) and K/1 (5-7 years), Coed Coach Pitch for 1st/2nd grades, boys Hollywood baseball for 3rd/4th grades (10U), boys Regulation Baseball for 3rd-7th grades (10U, 12U & 14U) and girls softball for grades 3rd-7th (10U, 12U, & 14U). Coaches will make contact with players mid-April when practices begin. Youth baseball coaches needed!
We are looking for volunteer coaches for our upcoming youth baseball season. Applications will be due to our office with a photo copy of your ID by March 14.  If you have questions or would like more information please email Brittany Bibby. For a downloadable coaches packet click here

Sponsorship & donor recognition
Become a youth baseball team sponsor!  Help support a fall youth sports team by becoming a donor.  These leagues serve nearly 1,000 youth in and around our community! We need your help! Your company name will be placed on the back of the uniforms, recognition in the online Recreation Online Program Guide and other printed materials.  $195 for one team, $700 for four teams, or $1,000 for six teams.  Call us for more information at  253.460.2530.

Spring Break Camp UPlay!
Parents, are you looking for a safe and fun environment for your school age children during the mid-winter break from school? Look no more! University Place Parks & Recreation is offering School’s Out Camp UPlay, no need to stress about childcare or take unwanted time off work, we’re here for you! Camp will be held at Curtis Junior High School, drop off in the gym, the week of April 14-18, yes there will be camp on the holiday! Kids grades K-6th will spend the week playing games, doing projects, sport activities, guitar hero and much, much more! Not to mention a field trip to end their week at camp! We will offer our regular camp hours of 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and extended hours of 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Fees for are as follows: Resident regular hours: $100, Non-resident regular hours: $110, Resident extended hours: $120, Non-resident extended hours: $130. Lystedt Law Concussion Waiver must be signed prior to any youth sport league participation and returned to the Parks & Recreation Office.
