Historical Society Garden Tour - Day 1

Join us for this year's annual U.P. Garden Tour!

The U.P. Garden Tour is now in its 8th year. Sponsored by the U.P. Historical Society and multiple local businesses and organizations, the tour is a fundraiser for the society and its efforts to create a history museum for our community.

This year’s tour will be May 19 and 20, Saturday and Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Five amazing gardens will be featured, along with the Curran House and Orchard at Curran Apple Orchard Park. The Curran House is envisioned as the future museum site for University Place.

Public Safety and Criminal Justice

28th District Legislators Town Hall Meeting

Sen. Steve O’Ban, R-University Place, Rep. Dick Muri, R-Steilacoom, and Rep. Christine Kilduff, D-University Place, are inviting 28th District community members to attend a town hall meeting, Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018.

The meeting, open to the public, will be held from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Steilacoom Town Hall, 1717 Lafayette Street, Steilacoom. Residents are invited to attend, ask questions, and learn more about legislation being debated in Olympia, as well as other topics of interest.

Annual Family Bingo Night

Spring into fun at Family Bingo Night, April 6

Spring is in the air which means sounds of family fun will be heard for miles around Chambers Creek Regional Park at Parks and Recreation’s annual Family Bingo Night on Friday, April 6 from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

Doors open at 6 p.m. Event admission is $5 per person; children ages 3 years and younger are free. Cost includes a packet of six bingo sheets. Pre-register online or call (253) 798-4141 by April 5.

Mason Bees - Nature's Friendly Pollinators

Learn about Mason Bees (aka Nature’s Friendly Pollinators) at a FREE  presentation sponsored by CORE (Curran Orchard Resource Enthusiasts) on Saturday, February 10, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the University Place Public Library, located at 3609 Market Place West.

Curran Orchard Beekeeper Rick Mercier will present a short history about Mason Bees along with information on how to raise them at home.  Question and answer session to follow.  Everyone is welcome to attend!
