A Homecoming to Remember

Friday, October 13 was anything but unlucky for the Curtis Viking football team, with an impressive 56-0 win over the Emerald Ridge Jaguars, Curtis High School celebrated the end of its homecoming week with a game to remember.

Under the Friday night lights and with a little help from a fog machine, the football team was welcomed onto the field by Youth Viking football and cheer teams. The presenting of the colors and National Anthem was led by the ROTC and CHS Choir, signaling the start of the game.

Throughout the evening the stands erupted with music, chants and more, while the cheerleaders and the pep band led the Viking Victory Song each time a touchdown was scored. At halftime, the Homecoming Court kept the annual tradition alive by riding on local antique cars while tossing candy and treats to the crowd.

The Homecoming Game is a wonderful time in our community, where alumni, community members, current students, parents and future Vikings all gather together for one evening to watch football and celebrate the start of another year!
