Daffodil Float
The Tacoma/Pierce County Daffodil Parade takes place the third Saturday in April each year. University Place Kiwanis Club and the University Place School District work closely to design and construct the University Place entry in this annual parade. The community is invited to assist with planning and construction which usually begins in January preceding the event.
Duck Parade
Rain or shine, this annual parade is fun for the whole family. Bands, parade vehicles and marchers, walkers and bikers take part in this community outing!
Holiday Tree Lighting
This seasonal extravaganza takes place the first weekend in December at Windmill Village Shopping Center (3715 Bridgeport Way W) from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Activities include children's games and crafts, musical entertainment, a mini-tree decorating contest, train rides for the kids, clowns, balloons and demonstrations, culminating with the arrival of Santa and lighting of the 30' holiday tree.
Curran Orchard Cider Squeeze
The Curran Orchard Cider Squeeze is another orchard-related activity and takes place the second Sunday in September each year, usual times are 1:00-4:00 p.m. Entertainment, food and an apple squeeze are planned throughout the afternoon.
