Construction is underway! When you view the web cameras in our Town Center zone you are likely to see a combination of work from any of the following projects:
Drexler Drive West Phase 1 - Drexler Drive provides access to Town Center and borders the project on the east side. This road improvement project provides neccessary street improvements to Drexler Drive, which include re-alignment of the street, re-pavement of the street from 35th to Homestead Park, curb and gutter installation along the entire length and sidewalk installation on the east side.
Contractor: S & W Utility Contractors, Inc.
Project Status: Phase 1 construction is complete. Phase 2 will include remaining sidewalks and a final lift of asphalt which will be done just prior to opening of Town Center.

Market Street Grading Phase 3 - This project includes the construction of approximately 900 feet of new roadway, sewer, water, and storm drainage utilities. This new road will run parallel to Bridgeport Way between the 3600 and 3800 blocks and will serve as a primary access for the Town Center project.
Contractor: Northwest Cascade, Inc.
Project Status: Construction of the mechanically stabilized wall is now complete. Some curb and roadway will be in by October 2008. Final work will be completed in time for opening of the Library/Civic Building in late 2009.

Transit Garage - This project involves the construction of a three story parking garage at the heart of the Town Center site. This garage will have approximately 270 parking stalls that will support both Transit opportunities, future shoppers, and will serve as the foundation for the Civic Building. The two cement structures standing tall on the trasnsit garage podium are the elevators that will transport from the basement level of the parking garage up to the top of the future Civic Building. The parking garage will not be ready for use until tenant improvements are complete, which include striping for parking stalls, installation of fire safe sprinkler systems, and lighting to name just a few. Final work will be completed in time for opening of the Library/Civic Building in late 2009.

Project Status: Phase 1 Construction is complete. Work continues on punch list items and tenant improvements.

Civic Building - Construct the shell and core of the 60,000 square foot Civic Building containing the future City Hall and Public Library. Construction is also to include a 3 story parking garage.
Contractor: Jody Miller Construction
Project Status: Construction started mid September 2008
Town Center Streetscapes - Improve approximately 1400 lineal feet of Bridgeport Way West from 37th Street West to 35th Street West and approximately 700 lineal feet of 35th Street West from Bridgeport Way West to Morrison Road West. Improvements include but are not limited to, traffice signals, grading, paving, storm drainage improvements, street lighting, curbs, gutters, sidewalks and landscaping.
Project Status: Design phase is complete. Right of Way acquistion in process.
Town Center Garage Lot 10 - The project location is adjacent to Bridgeport Way West between 35th Street West and 37th Street West. Work will provide construction of a three story 62,463 square foot concrete parking sturcture, which will serve as the podium for retail and office above.
Project Status: Currently in Design Phase.

Alameda Avenue West Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Project - This project consists of construction approximately 2,132 lineal feet of road improvements, including concrete curbs, gutters, and sidewalks, storm drainage improvements and asphalt bike lane. The project limits are Alameda Avenue West from 51st Street Court West to 44th Street West.
Contractor: Construct Company LLC
Project Status: Project is scheduled to begin in late September

Market Street Grading Phase 2 - This project includes clearing and grading approximately 10 acres of property including but not limited to removal of pavement and other obstruction, construction of a soil nail and MSE wall and a retaining wall to support a future roadway, and erosion control measures.
Contractor: Northwest Cascade, Inc.
Project Status: Construction of the mechanically stabilized wall is now complete. Concrete retaining wall has been completed. Awaiting final material test results before project can be completed.
