Welcome to Parks & Recreation Services!

Let's spring into spring and dive into summer together with new recreation programs, classes, summer day camps and special events. April showers bring May flowers and not too far behind... the sweet smell of summer. Highlighted are new programs that will encourage you to participate and many innovative park-planning projects that will provide you with the opportunity to spend time outdoors.

University Place has got a great line-up of recreation opportunities for friends and families to gather and enjoy together. Not only does Spring & Summer bring out the best of the weather but with it comes all new and exciting recreational programs!

Some of our new programs, just to mention a few are Guitar Camp, Fine Art Camp for Kids and new Etiquette Classes. Skyhawks Sports has teamed up with Lady Viks Fast Pitch to bring you Fast Pitch Softball Camp for Girls Only. Also new Skim Boarding & Skate Boarding Day Camps, and PILATES plus Core Toning.

Sign up now for our Summer Day Camp programs, Camp U-Play, Art Camp, and new Skim Boarding Camp & Skate Boarding Camp.

Many of our activities are made possible because of cooperative use of School District facilities. We extend our THANKS! to the University Place School District, School Board, and Staff.

University Place Parks and Recreation is the Place...

To PLAY:
Playing is participating. It's more than just being there - it's about learning, living, giving and having fun. Unless you try to do something beyond what you have already mastered, you will never grow.

To MAKE A DIFFERENCE:
It's about making a difference to yourself and your community. Through Parks and Recreation you will use your skills to enrich a program or learn new skills to enrich your life.

To BRING JOY:
A smile is worth a lot in our business. The smile you bring will be passed on to the people you are working with. We are providing a valuable service to the community through people, parks, programs and partnerships!

Experience your city in numerous ways, whether through our excellent parks system and open spaces or participating in our quality recreation programs. Please take a moment to browse our new Spring/Summer Program Guide to find youth and adult program information, and coming special events; we invite the residents of University Place along for a fun and exciting ride as the Recreation Division gears up for an entertaining and exhilarating summer!
