Councilmember Kent KeelBorn in: Fort Worth, Texas; moved to University Place in 1987.

Family: Married in 1982 to Renee; adult children.

Schooling: Graduated Stuttgart American High School - 1976; Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems - 1986; Master of Business Administration in Technology & Engineering Management – 1998.

Occupation:  Administrative Officer, VA Puget Sound Health Care System.

Personal Interests: Roosevelt Heights Church - Ordained Minister; veterans issues; high school sports; housing issues; education; disability issues.
 
Professional Experience: Former business owner, twice inducted to the Smithsonian National Museum of American History; hosted & moderated President Clinton's National Education Technology Conference; Principle in the development of international standards for education software data exchange.

Community Experience: University Place School Board; City of U.P. sponsored events; youth basketball coach, youth football coach, youth soccer coach; Curtis Viking Scholarship Committee; and President & Executive Director of Low Income Housing Non-profit.

Council Experience:
 This is Mr. Keel's first term.
