U.S. Open Task Force
What is the U.S. Open Task Force?
The U.S. Open Task Force, comprised of City Council Members, was established in August of 2012 to focus on preparation for the 2015 U.S. Open golf championship which will be held at the Chambers Bay Golf Course in University Place. The Council understands that as the host city for this most prestigious championship, it is imperative that we work closely with Pierce County and the U.S. Golf Association to ensure that the event is successful and that the City realizes the short and long-term opportunities created by the championship.
