All eligible low income households within University Place are entitled to an annual utility tax refund of $56, with an additional $9 refunded for gas utility customers for utility taxes collected through December 31, 2007. Eligible households who qualify can apply for a refund by obtaining a utility tax refund application form and submitting it no later than June 30, 2008. Application forms may be obtained by calling the Finance Department at (253) 460-2547, visiting University Place City Hall at 3715 Bridgeport Way West, downloading by clicking here or e-mailing your request to City_Hall@CityofUP.com.


Applicants must also show proof that they have lived in University Place for nine months or more of 2007.
