The City of University Place is updating its Small Works Roster of contractors interested in working on public works improvement contracts in 2008. The City is hereby accepting applications from qualified contractors who wish to be on the City's Small Works Roster for the purpose of performing professional services. Requirement categories are public works projects in storm sewer, street construction, maintenance, general contracting and other general public works projects. In addition, vendors who wish an opportunity to bid on major purchases by the City of University Place for materials, equipment or supplies are invited to submit an application indicating categories of material and supplies, and equipment they provide.

The City's Small Works Roster term is one calendar year, commencing January 1, 2008. The City's Small Works Roster may be used as an alternative to general competitive bidding requirements when the contract amount is two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) or less. The City is contracting with Municipal Research and Services Center of Washington (MRSC) for 2008 application processing and roster maintenance. MRSC provides complete roster services statewide.
