One of University Place's most popular events begins just as school ends - it's the "Concerts in the Park" series at the Curran Apple Orchard. Join your friends and neighbors as they head to the orchard on a warm summer evening. Bring your own picnic or purchase food prepared by the University Place Kiwanis, but remember to bring something to sit on!
A real favorite last year, this year's season begins on June 25 with "The Dead Edsels," who will kick it off with familiar sounds from the fifties and sixties. The series will continue every other Thursday night, from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Curran Apple Orchard Park, 3920 Grandview Drive West.
In the event of inclement weather, the concerts will take place at the rainout location of the Curtis High School cafeteria, 8425 40th St W.
